To play Powerball, you choose five numbers out of 69 and the additional Powerball number out of the other 26. You can also choose to play Powerplay, a multiplier which can be applied to all prizes other than the jackpot.

The draw takes place every Wednesday and Saturday 10:59pm ET.

You have won a prize if the numbers you’ve played online or placed a bet on are the same as the numbers drawn in the official lottery draw.

Results are known immediately after the public draw every Wednesday and Saturday, you can also use our Results Checker to see if your lucky numbers have won.

If your numbers are drawn you can win a jackpot (minimum of 40 million dollars) as well as eight other prizes. Additional prizes are divided into the following tiers: 0+1, 1+1, 2+1, 3+0, 3+1, 4+0, 4+1, and 5+0. The odds of winning a jackpot currently stand at 1:292,201,338. With a system bet you can bet with more than the standard amount of numbers, therefore increasing your chances of winning exponentially. To engage the System Bet simply click on additional numbers beyond the regular amount of required numbers. This option is not available on all lotteries and only in certain countries.
